    I need a solution

We are currently being blocked by Message labs.

I submited an investigation here: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH828... almost 12 hours ago with no reply.

I have checked mxtoolbox & symantec's blacklist checks and we are not black listed.

I have also attempted to phone Symantec support however they can't raise a case as I'm not a symantec customer.

    Example logs:

    Dec  7 00:45:04 mx1 postfixpool_1/smtp[11065]: 4D5FF7CF1ED: to=<Roger.Milton@moore-scarrott.co.uk>, relay=cluster5.eu.messagelabs.com[193.109.254.3]:25, delay=25705, delays=25704/0.5/0.14/0, dsn=4.0.0, status=deferred (host cluster5.eu.messagelabs.com[193.109.254.3] refused to talk to me: 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 18405, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.)

    Dec  6 00:18:49 mx1 postfixpool_1/smtp[47437]: E6D467CF660: to=<Roger.Milton@moore-scarrott.co.uk>, relay=cluster5.eu.messagelabs.com[85.158.138.179]:25, delay=25578, delays=25578/0.04/0.35/0, dsn=4.0.0, status=deferred (host cluster5.eu.messagelabs.com[85.158.138.179] refused to talk to me: 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 16909, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.)

I URGENTLY need this issue resolved as we have over 40 companies that can't send emails through our spam protection system at the moment.

Please advise the quickest way to get this issue resolved and also to find out why we are being blocked to ensure we can prevent this from happening again.

We are currently working on bringing up another mailhost and transfering the mail queue onto a new host with a new IP however future emails will still come into this IP.

    I need a solution

We've recently been getting bounces when emails to our long time customers and even our investors (both whom we've emailed with forever) saying 553 they're filtered. We aren't a Spam shop, we do online mortgages and notarizations and are just a startup desperately trying to get off the ground. Since November 22nd our business has been crippled by this and I'm on the verge of losing my job because my boss and our executives don't understand that this isn't a problem on our end. Our DKIM, SPF records are clear, and we're not listed on ANY blacklist, and I check them daily. I've submitted numerous review requests over the course of the last 2 weeks, but I've heard nothing back from Symantec. Can you please get me connected to someone that can whitelist us? We use Zix encryption on our emails and take email communication very seriously due to the nature of our business. I'm just out of options and don't want to lose my job because I can fix another companies software problems.

Can anyone direct me to something besides the false positive email review address that no one has replied to me from in 2+ weeks now?

    I need a solution

    Hello Symantec team,

Judging from this forum, I'm not alone with this issue. We have a number of clients who are unable to receive emails from us due to blacklisting. I've submitted this case via email and heard nothing despite it being more than the 7 business days I was told it would take. I've also submitted this via the online IP check and haven't heard back despite that tool saying 24 hours for a response.

We have SPF records, DKIM signing, DMARC records, PTR records, etc. so I'm not quite sure why we're being flagged as spam. We do send our clients PDF invoices but we've never sent any marketing materials from that server and maintain a SenderScore of 99/100.

If someone at Symantec could look into this, I'd grealty appreciate it.

    Thank you,

    Good Day,

Our SpamExperts servers are being blocked by messagelabs for some reason, we urgently need these unblocked and whitelisted as clients in our hosted exchange environement are unable to send important emails to clients using messagelabs.

Is there a support line or portal that we can use to escalate?

    I need a solution

    Hi,

since we moved our mailserver to new hardware (including new IP address) all mails to messagelabs.com servers are being blocked or rather it looks like the packages are being dropped since I don't even get any response (telnet to port 25 from other servers respond with the proper welcome string).

According to http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ the server IP does not have a bad reputation (The IP address you submitted, 136.243.174.235, does not have a negative reputation and therefore cannot be submitted for investigation.) Could you please check on your side and let me know what exactly the issue is since we do not event get a rejection notice to follow up upon.

    Thank you.

We are having issues sending emails to customers that are using Message Labs.

    [{LED=451 4.4.395 Target host responded with error. -> 421 4.4.1 Connection timed out };{FQDN=cluster1a.us.messagelabs.com};{IP=216.82.251.230};{LRT=12/11/2017 1:16:48 PM}]

We are sending emails from 198.49.0.3.  We are not marked as blacklisted on any websites too.

Can somebody help with this please? Thank you!

    I need a solution

Emails are still being blocked by messagelabs from our email server @ 198.49.0.3 to a bunch of our customers using Symantec.

Checking the ip at http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ says “198.49.0.3 does not have a negative reputation and therefore cannot be submitted for investigation”

We called Symantec support, and they refused to talk to us (I guess we might be spammers) and told us to get our customers that are Symantec customers to call instead.

We had two companies enquire now and create tickets. One was simply told “that IP is not being blocked”.

Another stated we were sending wrongly to cluster6a.us.messagelabs.com instead of cluster6.messagelabs.com, apparently the “a” servers are spam traps, and suggested we should flush our DNS.

For the customer in question, our DNS correctly returns cluster6 and cluster6a, with 6 being the lower number. Our email server tries 6 first and fails, and only then fails over to the cluster6a server, which times out.

Testing using telnet to port 25 to cluster6 returns 550 Requested action aborted [4] 4410, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.

This just started last week. I checked mxtoolbox and there are no blacklists, errors etc.

This is causing a major headache for us, and is really poor support by Symantec.
