    Hello,

    Our emails sent to one of our business partners are getting filtered with delivery error "501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7]".

    Log: "Sep  9 17:05:38 mail postfix/smtp[18173]: 2FF9143890: hostcluster5.us.messagelabs.com[216.82.241.195] refused to talk to me: 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 11905, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message."

    Our mail server is properly configured, and not blacklisted, to our knowledge (and tests).

    Could you please check your system and authorize our IP address 212.83.151.81, or let us know what actually triggerred the block so we can take corrective action.

    As a side note: it would save a lot of people's time if you could have a better process to deal with these issues, like most other major email providers or filters.

    1) The SMTP rejection message states "please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message" but this address redirects to your generic support page, and not the page specifically related to email distribution issues. Fortunately google is smart enough to give me the correct page straight away.

    2) In the FAQ for rejection issues, you just say "If the problem persists, please contact Symantec.cloud support for further assistance.", but assistance can only be contacted by your customers. I guess you understand that most people encountering delivery issues are not your customers, but people trying to reach your customers...

    3) After googling around and browsing this forum, it seems that this is the only way to reach you and trigger an action on your part. But I can only post here if I am registered. And registration implies providing a lot of information about myself and my company. Really, I'm here only to get an email to its recipient, so all this is kind of annoying.

    4) Browsing the forum, I found the link to check email server IP's reputation and request de-listing, but the tool just says that all is fine with this IP. Which obviously is wrong, as the explanations on your FAQ regarding the error encountered clearly state server/IP related errors, not message related ones.

    I hope these remarks will help you improve your process in this regards. Fighting spam is good, but please provide a proper way to solve issues with legitimate email.

    Our mail server is properly configured and not blacklisted in anyway (from what we know).
    I have tried contact your support, but im unable to find any information about how do this. I even try contact by phone, but the operator doesn't even know what im talking (possible becouse was only to clients with active services).

    I have tried use your "IP Investigation Request" system, but doesn't appears to work, as the IP gets listed again and with no new email sent.

    Is possible check your system and authorize our IP address 176.31.217.177, or let us know what actually triggerred the block so we can take corrective action.

    Here is a small synopsis.

    My client wants to have PBE for users sending email to external domains.

    Currently using Symantec Message Labs (Symantec.Cloud) as a gateway for anit spam and anti malware.

    Questions:

    1. Do i need a third party SSL cert to enable or activate PBE on message labs (post i purchase the PBE solution)

    2. What type of certificate is required if required.

    We recently moved to a new Dedicated Server and we are having issues delivering mail to your messagelabs.com servers.

    Our IP is 72.9.154.92 and we have only been using it for the last month.

    I need a solution

    With Symantec.Cloud (messagelabs), is it possible to have one email notification for each user as opposed to one notification for every user's alias. For example, right now the user a user has two alias (jdoe@xyz.com and joedoe@xyz.com) and he receives a daily notification email for each. Is it possible to consolidate them?

    I am also having aconnection problem from my main server IP 88.202.228.72 (host name leia.tlanet.co.uk). Our reputation is very good and we don't send spam. I believe the block was added prior to us being assigned the IP by our ISP UK2.

    Can you please unblock us from your network as this is now costing us business and 2 clients have left us in the last few days!

    Dear all,  

    were using symantec.cloud for our example.de domain.  

    since a long time were succeffully forawarding emails from our example.fr domain to example.de domain. 

    before 2 weeks the ip of the .fr was listed in pbl - after the removal everything worked properly again. close after the removal were receiving nothing anymore... even no mailer deamon trying to send a mail @ example.fr... 

    i'm really lost at the moment - nothing makes sense... 

    forwarding example.fr to example.de is not working 

    forwarding example.fr to gmail.com - is WORKING 

    forwading gmail.com to example.de - is WORKING 

    sending direct mail from example.fr to example.de - is WORKING 

    using an autoresponder on example.fr - receiving that on example.de - is WORKING 

    checking symantec - nothing new / no changes.... 

    the forwarding of the example.fr is not working... the email just gets lost....???!!! 

    can anybody help?

    Trying to setup below mail flow and integrate On premise DLP server with to monitor outbound email traffic from office 365 to symantec security.cloud.

    Below is the flow.

    Outbound mails from my org -> Office 365 -> Network Prevent for Email (my org's DMZ) -> Office 365 -> Symantec Email Security.cloud -> Internet 

    What are the IP addresses that I have to provide in Network Prevent for Email Server to foward the mails to Symantec Security.cloud?

    What are the settings I need to do to accept emails from On-Premise Network Prevent for Email server (this server will be on-prem DMZ with a public IP)
