    I need a solution

cluster5.eu.messagelabs.com at 85.158.138.179 is refusing to talk to one of my SMTP servers at 23.239.151.125. When my server connects, cluster5 immediately responds with:

501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 18806, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.

This is instead of the initial greeting, before even HELO/EHLO has been issued.

No spam is being sent through 23.239.151.125 and it is clean according to all RBLs that I'm aware of.

    Please investigate / unblock.

    Thank you,
    Lennart Lövstrand

BTW, the URL in the response just redirects to https://www.symantec.com/products/endpoint-hybrid-... and is unfortuantely of no help. I think many of us would appreciate it if you could update it to something more meaningful. Thanks.

    I need a solution
We are having trouble with emails from our domain being sent to and received from Symantec customers.

We have investigated internally and have found nothing that should result in our domain being blocked.

I have also raised support tickets with Google as we use G Suite to manage our emails.

Google has advised me that as they use dynamic IP's that can not be the issue. They also advise that our emails are authenticating properly and that 'we are doing everything right'.

We have not made any changes recently to our set up and it is very important to us that we find out what has caused this to happen, how to fix it and how to prevent it from happening again.

    The error message we receive:

    Message not delivered

There was a problem delivering your message to xxxxxxxxx. See the technical details below.

553 Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more information. (#5.7.1)

I have emaled and called Symantec support but as I am not a Symantec customer they have directed me to these forums.

It would seem that the problem is very similar to this old thread https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/emails-being-blocked-symantec-cloud-need-help-resolving as we have experienced some success sending emails with all links and references to our domain removed from the email footer.

Hopefully there is an easy solution?

    Thanks

    Andrew

A vendor attempting to mail one of our users for a password reset is getting repeated "421 Service Temporarily Unavailable" error messages.

    Text is:

host cluster6a.us.messagelabs.com [216.82.253.230] said:  421 Service Temporarily Unavailable (in reply to RCPT TO command)

host cluster6a.us.messagelabs.com [85.158.139.103] said:  421 Service Temporarily Unavailable (in reply to RCPT TO command)

Other mail from the vendor (e.g. not its password reset type account) is coming through correctly.

There's some additional info in a very tiny text snip that the vendor sent to us, hope the attachment comes through correctly.

I would normally temporarily put the internal user account involved on the whitelist but the message does concern me.

I found a previous post on this forum that said that the host involved was throttled and un-throttling it solved the problem.   Could someone please investigate this and advise on next steps?

    Thanks!

    I need a solution

    Hi,

Over the past couple of days, we have been experiencing issues with some of our customers who use Messagelabs, they are unable to receive our emails resulting in a 553 Message filtered error.

We've run every concievable check on our Office 365 infrastructure and can find no issues, we are not blacklisted, we have DKIM and SPF, both of which pass all tests.

Could someone reach out to me so we can try and determine the cause of this filtering and get it resolved?

    Best Regards

    Greetings.

One of our mailservers - 78.129.218.28 - is blocked at your firewall (according to tests we have conducted).

It has *NO* poor reputation and it is not listed on any blacklists so far as we can see.

Since this is damaging our business (due to the inability to send legitimate emails to our contacts) we would appreciate your attention to the matter.

    Thanks!

Yesterday we moved our mailserver to IP 217.182.8.243 from 178.32.60.149.  Since this we're not able able to send mail to our partners who use messagelabs.  From our server we get:

    ~# telnet cluster4a.us.messagelabs.com 25
    Trying 216.82.251.230...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out

Telnet works fine from other IPs.  I looked at http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ and am told "The IP address you submitted, 217.182.8.243, does not have a negative reputation and therefore cannot be submitted for investigation."

    Please advise

    Hi all,

I search for this information in the Web pages of Symantec, but I cann't find it. I need to know what type of encryption is used  under the Data Protection results, after the email was encrypted.

This information is necessary for compliance with the company.

What Algorithms are used AES-256, PGP, SHA-2?

What version of TLS is used, 1.2?

    Regards,

    Hi,

It was reported that emails sent to some clients weren't delivered on time, sometimes with a delay of a day after it was sent.

I asked to support team of our mail server to check what could be happening and and was told that emails delivered to domains on messagelabs servers probably are being rejected.

When trying to telnet port 25 to cluster6.eu.messagelabs.com for exemple, sometimes there's no response, same as other servers from messagelabs.com.

There's no problem with IP using http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/.

Can you check with your servers if there's issues with our IP??

    Thanks
