We're using MessageLabs for spam and message filtering. We have devices internally that we use to send documents to users internally such as scanned documents. When the user scans the document it emails the scanned doc to the users email address. I would like to prevent the device from sending to external email addresses and only allow it to email to internal addresses. What would be the best way to do this using messagelabs?
I have a dedicated IP mail server that for some reason is on the Symantec blacklist. We're not on any other blacklists when checked by mxtoolbox and similar tools. rDNS is setup properly, same as SPF and DKIM. I just don't get it! We're not listed on this URL either, http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/
We can't get help from Symantec as we're not a customer. We are getting bouncebacks when sending out quotes to new clients or prospective business partners. It isn't very prudent to ask them to contact Symantec for us.
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:

I have suddenly stopped receiving emails from pubseccoms.co.uk who supply information for my sector/work. The emails were being delivered fine until today and then wham no more. Ive checked IP blacklists and DBLs and all is clear.
The error messages is:
553-Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at 553-http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more 553 information.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
We are in full implementation of this solution and need to know if it is possible to customize the portal SPAM quarantine where each user access.
The idea of our client is add your company logo.
Is this possible?
I could not find information about it or settings within the Product Management Portal.

We are in full implementation of this solution and need to get images or screenshots panel SPAM Quarantine (SpamManager), in order to make a documentation "easy to understand" for end users of the company.
The document AntiSpam_SpamManagerUserGuide.pdf is too much information for these users.

Symantec Email Protect service, customer just need to point the mail exchange (MX) records to Symantec cloud servers where our emails will be filtered for spam before being passed on to our email server. Since this Symantec Email Protect service is tag to per user licensing, I believe we will require to change all my existing multiple domain names mx record point to Symantec mx record. In that case, I do not seen any complexity here on the setup. I should be receiving an confirmation email from Symantec stating the Symantec mx record and username login detail to Symantec management console.
Separately on Symantec Email Continuity service, I will assume I will be obtaining a Symantec hotline service to call during an outage of our email server?
Please do correct me if I am wrong and I will need your verification on the above information. Thanks.
Customer would like to check whether Email Security.cloud will hold the email in the cloud for a period of time before it returns a Non-Delivery Receipt to the sender?
Customer has on-premise Exchange server and is planning for DRP.
I want to know if there is a way by which I can do a bulk search for Email senders in "Track and Trace". I tried seperating multiple emails by ; but it treats as an invalid address.
Does Symantec Cloud has API that can be used to automate the search. It is very tedious to search for individual emails in Track and Trace when we need to look for a lot of sender/reciver mails.
Many of our customers cannot use links in emails we send because they've been serialized or mangled. Query parameters are replaced by weird codes, and when I visit the link it does not work because the link has been changed. Any help would be appreciated.
Full disclosure: I have a client site that had their mailserver compromised and was attmpting to send send out massive amounts of spam. The mailserver was replaced (it was overdue), the site shows up on no major blacklists, and operations returned to normal. Except....
When the client site tries to email someone using a message labs server, the connection is dropped. The is no rejection message or no communication of any kind, just dropped.
To give an example: If I were to try and telnet to a messagelabs server on port 25 from my office, I get something akin to the following:
telnet 184.108.40.206 25
Connected to 220.127.116.11.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 server-4.tower-44.messagelabs.com ESMTP
There is an exchange there. If I try to do the same from the client site, I get:
telnet 18.104.22.168 25
The connection just hangs as if there is nothing there responding before eventually timing out. I can ping that address and get a response, but nothing on port 25.
To make things a bit more muddled, some email is going through fine. I know messagelabs has a lot of load balancing email servers on different IPs, so I have to wonder if the Client's IP is only being blocked on some of their servers.
Any idea on how I would go about contacting messagelabs to have them look at this? Any thought on the problem would be appreciated.

I need help with my Yahoo email, my Yahoo is being compromised. Someone is sending out the emails from my Yahoo, I cant even reset the password online.
Password can't be reset online is the message that i am getting on my screen.

I'm a bit curious about the "Link following technology" in e-mails. Does the system follow the links through redirects to their final destination? If yes - do the system use the paramteres in query strings - or does it just skip them (to avoid tracking)?
The client's Mail server IP is not blacklisted in any major RBLs. Also, there is no recent spamming from their IP.
But messagelabs.com blocks the IP without providing any error messages.
From client server,

From another server, we are able to connect without any issues.

We are trying to send emails to few customers who are using Message Labs as their Antispam solution. About a week ago the emails sent by us to those customers started disappearing but it worked fine for years. We use Office 365 in the cloud and I can see on the logs the emails being passed onto the "cluster..." mx record server of those customers, howver, our contacts on our customers' side report that they never got an email. I have spoken to Office 365 and they confirmed that our settings have not changed. I ahve checked our domain for reputation and Office 365 support confirmed that they are not blaclisted either. I do not know whether we received any NDR when it started going wrong but we definitely do not receive any NDRs now. It is weird that 4 of our customers using Message Labs are affected so I am wondering whteher there was an update on Symantec side. Unfortunately, Symantec doesn't wan to talk to us because we need to contact IT departments of our customers but these customers are banks and we cannot get through to their IT. We have been dealing with these banks for long time and now they and us are losing business because of that issue. One thing we noted that sometimes emails do go through if we send them as plain text but not always as sometimes those are still blocked or end up in end users junk folder.
I would appreciate if anybody could shed any light on the issue or help to get the issue sorted.
if I’m using the product and I’m expecting an email from one of my clients but it doesn’t go through to my inbox, would the program inform me that I have an email in quarantine?
If the program does let me access the console to release that particular email, would I need to use my own username and password to log into the console and release the email? (this would be move convenient rather than getting the admin to release the email) Or would I have to get an admin to do it?

I have few questions about Spam Manager as it is linked with Email Security too
1) Login credential is encrypted or not ?
2) Data Stored on about Customer at rest is encrypted or not ?
3) Email Security/Spam Manager is PCI Complaince or it is using Third party payment service ?
4) Backup data center [ DRC ] for the protection of users data ?
When using Email Security.cloud Track & Trace feature, the page does not render properly in Safari. Im testing on Mavericks 10.9.5 and Yosemite 10.10.5 (Safari Version 9). Track & Trace page shows two "search" buttons. Pressing either button yields no results. Pressing a second time produces the below captioned error. I found another reference to the same issue linked below. Is Safari explicity unsupported? What is the support status of Safari on all of the .cloud suite of products?
